Aikido

Aikido is a Japanese martial art created in the 1940s by Morihei Ueshiba (1883 – 1969). The goal of Aikido training is the development of character and spirit according to the rules of nature.

Ai

it is to harmonize, understanding here that the objective is to deal with the discrepancies of life and the sometimes ambiguous feelings that they awaken in us.

Ki

includes the creative breath of the universe and of each of the beings that inhabit it.

Do

must be understood as a way of improvement.

  • "Everyone has a spirit that can be refined, a body that can be trained in some manner, a suitable path to follow. You are here for no other purpose than to realize your inner divinity and manifest your innate enlightenment. Foster peace in your own life and then apply the Art to all that you encounter."
    O´Sensei Morihei Ueshiba
    Founder of Aikido
  • "In your training do not be in a hurry, for it takes a minimum of ten years to master the basics and advance to the first rung. Never think of yourself as an all-knowing, perfected master; you must continue to train daily with your friends and students and progress together in the Art of Peace."
    O´Sensei Morihei Ueshiba
    Founder of Aikido
  • "As soon as you concern yourself with the "good" and "bad" of your fellows, you create an opening in your heart for maliciousness to enter. Testing, competing with, and criticizing others weaken and defeat you."
    O´Sensei Morihei Ueshiba
    Founder of Aikido
