Nicolás Urrutia Sensei

Was born in the city of Buenos Aires in 1974. He began practicing Aikido in 1982, at the age of 8, under the direction of K. Miyazawa Shihan (7th Dan). In 1991 he obtained the rank of 1st Dan and in 1994 2nd Dan. Between 1991 and 1994 he taught classes for adults and children at the central dojo of the Argentine Aikido Association, chaired by K. Miyazawa. He participated in the examining board and as a Technical Advisor, making trips around the country to teach classes.

In 1994 he was awarded a scholarship by Miyazawa to travel to Japan, where he worked for 2 months as Uchi Deshi (internal student) of the Kobayashi Dojo, directed by Y. Kobayashi Shihan (8th Dan). In 2003 he participated in the founding of the Org. Arg. of Aikido, receiving technical instruction from M. Nishida Shihan (7th Dan) both in Buenos Aires and São Paulo.

In 2006 he obtained the degree of 3rd Dan. In 2008 he opened the Aikido Urrutia Dojo in the Florida neighborhood, Vicente López district, where he taught daily classes. In April 2011 she obtained the 4th Dan degree.

In 2012 the Aikido Urrutia dojo merged with the Shirataki Dojo, also from the Florida neighborhood, taking the name of the latter. In 2016 he traveled to Iwama, Japan to serve as Uchi Deshi for 15 days at the Aikido Ibaraki Dojo under the direction of S. Inagaki Shihan (8th Dan). On the same trip he attended the 12th congress of the IAF (International Aikido Federation), an event where important masters teach. In 2018 he obtained the rank of 5th Dan.

In 2019 he traveled again to Iwama to work as Uchi Deshi for 30 days at the Aikido Ibaraki Dojo under the direction of S. Inagaki Shihan. Upon his return he founded the Ren Sei Aikido School. During the last 15 years he has made trips teaching classes in various parts of the country. He participated in numerous seminars given by teachers of great international level. He now teaches daily classes at his dojo in Florida and at dojos in the suburbs.
